The deal to take the Macedonian to San Siro is almost complete, according to Pasqualin...According to Claudio Pasqualin, one of Italy's most respected agents, Goran Pandev will almost certainly make the move from Lazio to Inter.
The Macedonian filed a request to terminate his contract with the Biancocelesti after a very public fall-out with president Claudio Lotito, but it appears that a transfer is close to being finalised.
"I believe that this operation will almost certainly come to a successful conclusion, even if 'never say never' is the transfer market's motto," Pasqualin explained to 24oredisport.
"I think it's a good opportunity for the player, to return to work for a great team, and for president Lotito who can cash in [on Pandev] and not make further losses.
"Considering that [Samuel] Eto'o will be at the African Cup of Nations, even though they are two different strikers, I think it could accelerate the transfer."
Pandev has not appeared for Lazio this season after his argument with Lotito during the summer, and has been labelled a 'rebel' along with Argentine midfielder Cristian Ledesma.
The latter is also expected to leave the club in January, with Fiorentina his most likely destination.
