EPL - Aston Villa v Fulham, Mousa Dembele and Marc Albrighton
will be without winger Marc Albrighton until October after it was announced that he has been ruled out for six weeks with a foot injury.
The former England Under-21 international enjoyed a breakthrough campaign back in 2010-11, but struggled to assert himself on the first-team last year under Alex McLeish, finding his opportunities limited.
It now appears as if the broken metatarsal picked up during the first week of pre-season is likely to rule him out longer than expected, with the club announcing via their official website that the player is currently wearing a protective boot.
Albrighton joins Gabriel Agbonlahor and Richard Dunne on the casualty list to leave new boss Paul Lambert with a few injury worries heading into the new campaign.
It will come as something of a blow to the young winger, having made a point in the past of wanting to impress the new manager this summer, but he now looks set to miss the club's opening game against West Ham at Upton Park on August 18 and beyond.
