Having already claimed the DFL-Supercup by virtue of defeating Borussia Dortmund, new Bayern Munich signing Dante is keen to add the DFB Pokal to his list of honours.

However, the towering centre-back is determined not to underestimate opponents SSV Jahn Regensburg on Tuesday night, who he has faced with his former club.

Speaking to Goal.com, he said: "It's always difficult to play away in the German Cup.

"Last year, when I was at Borussia Monchengladbach, I played against the [SSV Jahn Regensburg] in the German Cup and the game was very difficult."

The Brazilian defender knows that it will be a hostile atmosphere but is confident of his team's chances in the competition.

"Their place is very small and the fans, who are very close to the field, seems like they play with their team. Thus, I believe that it will be a very difficult match, but we have to impose our game from the beginning. We can get very far in this competition."

"The DFB Cup is one of our goals this season," he continued. "We started well last week against Dortmund and won our first title, the Super Cup. But for the Bavarians, this title was only the beginning. We must fight for all the titles in which we take part, and this competition and this is no different. The expectation is that we are in Berlin in May."
