midfielder Tom Huddlestone has joined Stoke
on loan until the end of the season, according to Potters winger Jermaine Pennant.
The midfielder was omitted from Andre Villas-Boas' squad that lost to Newcastle last weekend and appears to be out of Spurs' new manager's plans at White Hart Lane.
Huddlestone's last competitive game for Tottenham came against Manchester City in August of last year as he went on to suffer an ankle injury that restricted him to two appearances last term.
But he appears to have moved on to the Britannia Stadium to regain form and fitness.
Pennant revealed on Twitter: "Walked in training and got a shock saw my friend Tom Huddlestone. On loan till end of season.
"Yes it's true he's going to have a medical later if it's all good we have got him till the end of the season."
It is thought that any deal to take Huddlestone to the Potteries will include a clause that could see the midfielder recalled to White Hart Lane in January.
The former Derby County man would become the Potters' third signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Jamie Ness from Rangers and Michael Kightly from Wolves.
