Inter are reportedly stepping up their efforts to sign
Corinthians midfielder Paulinho in the hope of wrapping up a deal before the start of the new Serie A season.
The 23-year-old has long been linked with a move to San Siro but the
Nerazzurri have been sparked into action by the Brazilian's performance in his club's Copa Libertadores final win over Boca Juniors.
Sky Sport 24 claims that Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is now set to fly to Sao Paulo to meet with Corinthians officials.
Inter are aware that the player, who still has three years to run on his current contract will not come cheap, but it is believed that they are confident of persuading the
Timao to part company with Paulinho for
€7 million.
Paulinho, who has been capped once by the
Selecao, joined Corinthians from Bragantino two years ago.
