Ertugral Confirmed As New Ajax Cape Town Coach

Ajax Cape Town have confirmed what most South African football supporters already knew, Muhsin Ertugral will be their coach next season.
Ertugral and Ajax finalised the agreement over the weekend and the former kaizer Chiefs mentor is due at Ikamva early in June.

Ajax CEO George Comitis says, "Mushin Ertugral needs no introduction to the local fans and media as his record speaks for itself.

“He is a true professional and a well organised individual that will bring vast experience and success to our club in the future. He has a strong belief in the development of youth and vast knowledge of the PSL and African leagues, our competitors and all players.

“In this season preceding the 2010 World Cup, it is imperative that we get off the starting blocks positively as this will be a short, tough and compact season. The shareholders and directors of Ajax Cape Town believe that Muhsin is the right coach to steer us forward in the years to come.”

The announcement follows weeks of denials from the club, with chairman John Comitis at one stage earthily labelling reports of Ertugral's return as 'bulls***'.

Ertugral's also effectivelly ends Mabhuti Khenyeza's brief, but successful stay at the club, with the striker having already confirmed he will not work with his former coach at Chiefs again.
