Catania midfielder Maxi Lopez has admitted that he would relish the opportunity to join
Fiorentina, branding La Viola a "great club".
After a six-month loan deal with AC Milan, Maxi Lopez is ready to find a new club after the San Siro side decided against making the move permanent.
And he has been strongly linked with a move to Fiorentina in recent days, an opportunity that the 28-year-old would not turn down.
"Right now there's nothing but rumours, but Fiorentina is definitely a great club, and it could be a great chance for me," he told
Radio Blu. "I've visited Firenze with my family, spent a few days there, and I loved the city."
Maxi Lopez also underlined that his Milan days are "past", and that he is now focused on his future.
He also a stated he has no problems with Catania boss Vincenzo Montella, despite failing to secure regular playing time under the former Roma striker. Montella has been linked with the manager's position with La Viola.
"It is true I didn't play as much as I would like when Montella was my coach in Catania, but we never had any problems," the former Barcelona man stated. "I wouldn't have any trouble working with him again, we get along very well," he concluded.
