New York struck three times in the second half to break open a match which was tied at halftime. The New York Red Bulls used a three-goal second half to defeat the Houston Dynamo 4-1 on the road.

The teams traded goals within a four minute span in the first half. First, Jonny Steele and Eric Alexander played a neat give-and-go, before Alexander curled a shot in from 20 yards out. Minutes later though, a great lofted pass from Alex Lopez found Jason Johnson, and the rookie finished for his first MLS goal.

The Red Bulls started the second half with a quick goal, and they would pile on from there. Thierry Henry gave his team a lead it wouldn't relinquish two minutes into the half, when he collected a long ball, strode into the box, and finished past Tally Hall.

With 30 minutes to play, the visitors struck a killer blow. Steele beat the offside trap and rounded Hall for his team's third. The Red Bulls added the gloss with minutes to play, Lloyd Sam applying the finish after a nice pass from Peguy Luyindula.
