Real Salt Lake 3-0 San Jose: Strong first half gives RSL three points

A strong first half gave Real Salt Lake an impressive 3-0 win over the San Jose Earthquakes in Utah. Real Salt Lake took three points off the San Jose earthquakes with an impressive 3-0 win on Saturday.

Javier Morales opened the scoring in the 16th minute, slotting home a rebound after Robbie Findley's shot was spilled into his path.

Ned Grabavoy made ti 2-0 in the 33rd minute. A cross from Morales and nice feign from Joao Plata left the goal at Grabavoy's mercy, and he slotted home easily.

Findley finished the scoring off just five minutes later, picking up a poor clearance and bending a shot in at the back post to put the match beyond doubt.

San Jose could not rally the troops for a second-half turnaround and Salt Lake cruised to victory in the second half.
