Rodriguez joins the Impact from Argentinos Juniors, with whom he made eight appearances since his debut in 2010. Prior to playing professionally in his native country, the young midfielder was part of Atletico Madrid's academy.

"He is a young player that has a lot of potential," Impact sporting director Nick De Santis told the club's website. "We have been following him for over six months and I also had the chance to see him play in Argentina. He is a technically gifted player with a lot of raw talent.
