Manchester United's pursuit of Alvaro Morata has hit a stumbling block as Real Madrid have increased their asking price to £80 million, The Sun reports.

The development has prompted to Morata to disrupt his honeymoon to ask Madrid to let him leave, but Zinedine Zidane wants to keep him.


MAN UTD MAKE HUGE JAMES BID

Manchester United have made a bid of €80 million for Real Madrid midfielder James Rodriguez, according to Mediaset Premium.

The Red Devils are set to beat both Inter and AC Milan to the Colombian's signature while they are also closing in on his Madrid team-mate Alvaro Morata.


SPURS ATTEMPT ALVES SWOOP

Tottenham are attempting to hijack Manchester City's move for Juventus full-back Dani Alves, according to The Sun.

City remain confident of securing a deal for the Brazil international, but Spurs have now arrived on the scene.

Mauricio Pochettino is looking to replace Kyle Walker, with the England right-back set to also sign for City this summer.


RONALDO HOLDING UP MORATA'S MAN UTD DEAL

The uncertainty over Cristiano Ronaldo’s future is delaying an announcement over Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata’s move to Manchester United, according to Diario Gol .

Real are reportedly prepared to accept an offer from United for Morata, who has confirmed to both Madrid president Florentino Perez and coach Zinedine Zidane that he wants to be playing at Old Trafford next season.

However, following reports that Ronaldo wants to quit Madrid after being accused of tax fraud, Real want to resolve that matter before letting Morata join United.


OX WANTS ARSENAL ASSURANCES

Arsenal are confident Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will sign a new £100,000-a-week contract, but the midfielder wants assurances about his role before committing his future, reports the Evening Standard .

Liverpool and Manchester City have shown an interest in the England international, who has a year left on his current deal and wants to know where he fits into Arsene Wenger’s plans next season.


BARCELONA SET BELLERIN DEADLINE

Barcelona have set a deadline to agree a deal to bring Hector Bellerin back to the club from Arsenal, according to Mundo Deportivo .

Bellerin is reportedly keen to return to Camp Nou, but Arsenal don’t want to sell the right-back. Barca have now decided that, if a deal isn’t sorted within the next 10 days, they will move on to other targets.


ZIDANE WON'T LET BALE LEAVE

Zinedine Zidane has no plans to let Gareth Bale leave Real Madrid this summer, according to Marcafollowing reports the Wales international could be sold to make room for Kylian Mbappe.

Bale has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, but is not looking for a transfer and is happy to stay in Madrid.


LUCAS TARGETED BY TRABZONSPOR

Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva is wanted by Trabzonspor, although the Brazilian’s wage demands could scupper a move to Turkey, according to Fotomac, via Talksport.

Lucas could be available for £5 million this summer as he has a year remaining on his contract and was not an integral part of Jurgen Klopp’s side last season.


BAYERN WANT GORETZKA IN 2018

Bayern Munich want to sign Schalke midfielder Leon Goretzka on a free transfer in the summer of 2018, according to Kicker .

The 22-year-old Germany international, who is currently representing his country at the Confederations Cup, does not plan to stay at Schalke after his contract expires July 1, 2018.


DEMBELE MEETS WITH GUARDIOLA

Borussia Dortmund forward Ousmane Dembele has met with Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola regarding a potential summer move, according to  Le 10 Foot .

The France international is keen to leave Dortmund this summer and dined alongside Guardiola in Manchester on Monday evening.


MATIC UTD'S THIRD CHOICE

Nemanja Matic began the summer as Manchester United's third choice central midfield target, according to the  Daily Telegraph .

The Chelsea midfielder is on the verge of moving to Old Trafford for £40 million, but Jose Mourinho had wanted to sign either Eric Dier or Radja Nainggolan ahead of Matic.

A lack of movement over either of those deals has now led him to reuniting with a player he coached at Stamford Bridge.


MAN UTD MUST PAY €50M FOR PERISIC

Inter Milan have told Manchester United that Ivan Perisic will only leave the club for €50 million (£44m), according to  Gazzetta dello Sport .

The Serie A side must raise €30m (£26.4m) by the end of June to meet Financial Fair Play regulations and United were hoping to sign Perisic for that amount.

However, Inter are exploring other ways to raise the money and, if their €50m valuation of Perisic isn’t met, then the Croatian midfielder will be staying at the club.


AC MILAN TARGET KOSCIELNY DEAL

AC Milan have made Arsenal centre-half Laurent Koscielny a prime target as the Italian club look to strengthen their defence this summer, according to Telefoot .

Koscielny has also been linked with the likes of Manchester City, Marseille and Chinese clubs this summer, but it is likely to take a big offer and persuasive argument to get Koscielny to leave Arsenal.


ZLATAN OPTION FOR ATLETICO

Atletico Madrid are considering Zlatan Ibrahimovic as an alternative option to a deal for Chelsea striker Diego Costa, according to  Tuttosport, via AS .

Ibrahimovic has been released by Manchester United and is currently recovering from a knee injury, while Atletico have been exploring a deal to bring Costa back to the club.

However, with Atletico unable to sign players until January due to a transfer ban, Costa is reportedly concerned about a potential lack of regular football during a World Cup year.

Instead, Ibrahimovic is a candidate to join Atletico and he is expected to be fit to play first-team football again by the time the Spanish club’s transfer ban is lifted at the start of 2018.


CHELSEA CONSIDER VITOLO SWOOP

Chelsea are considering an approach for Sevilla’s versatile attacker Vitolo, according to the Daily Mirror .

Vitolo, who has a release clause of €35 million (£30.8m), can play on the wing or further forward and is an option to add depth to Antonio Conte’s squad.


SPURS VALUE KANE AT £200M

Tottenham value Harry Kane close to £200 million following reports Manchester United were planning a £100m bid for the striker, according to The Independent .

Kane has been linked with a move to Old Trafford as Jose Mourinho chases a new No.9, but Spurs have no intention of selling the England international and have ‘laughed off’ reports they would accept a £100m offer.


SPURS WANT CUT-PRICE ALENA DEAL

Tottenham are hoping to sign highly-rated Barcelona midfielder Carles Alena for just €3million (£2.6m) before the end of June, according to  AS .

Alena has yet to agree a new contract with Barca and has a year remaining on his current deal. His release clause will rise from €3m to €12m (£10.5m) on July 1 and Spurs are trying to push through a deal before then.


GIROUD WANTS WENGER TALKS

Olivier Giroud is set to hold talks with Arsene Wenger over his future at Arsenal as the club close in on the signing of Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to the  Evening Standard .

Giroud, who has also been linked with West Ham, has been tipped to be used as a makeweight in Arsenal’s bid for Lacazette and wants clarification from Wenger over his situation at the Emirates Stadium.


MAHREZ GIVES UP ON BARCELONA

Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez has grown tired of waiting for Barcelona to make a firm offer and is now keen to join Arsenal in a €40 million (£35.1m) deal, according to  Sport .

Mahrez had been a back-up option for Barcelona this summer, but with the Algerian keen to resolve his future, he is keen to agree a four-year deal with Arsenal.
