Arsenal have so far refused to negotiate their Chilean forward, and could even let him leave on a free next summer in order to keep him for 2017-18.

But Pep Guardiola is equally determined to take him to the Etihad Stadium, with City preparing a much-improved offer in order to finally convince the Gunners board into a sale.

CHELSEA PREPARE £200M SPENDING SPREE

Antonio Conte

Chelsea are set to spend up to £200 million on five new players in a bid to finally satisfy Antonio Conte's wishes, according to the Express.

The manager has grown increasingly frustrated at the lack of transfer activity around Stamford Bridge, and has seen his first-team reduced to the bare bones through injury.

But he may soon have some good news to celebrate on that front, as his board prepare a last-minute raid ahead of deadline day.

Southampton trio Virgil van Dijk, Cedric Soares and Ryan Bertrand are all on Conte's shortlist, as is Leicester's Danny Drinkwater and Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

The arrival of Neymar and the possible signing of Kylian Mbappe has heightened speculation that the Germany international will have a limited role if any at PSG this season.

And the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal are attracted by a reported knock-down fee of £32 million to take Draxler this transfer window.

ATLETICO AGREE €55M COSTA FEE

PSG SET TO ANNOUNCE MBAPPE

Kylian Mbappe Monaco

PSG are set to announce the transfer of Kylian Mbappe from Monaco, according to Mundo Deportivo .

The 19-year-old will become the second most expensive player in history, with the Paris club following up the €222 million signing of Neymar with a €180m deal. Mbappe is also expected to earn €18m a season at Parc des Princes, having made an incredible impact at Monaco last season.

MONACO NAME PRICE FOR MBAPPE

Kylian Mbappe Monaco 2017

Monaco have slapped a price tag of €200 million on Kylian Mbappe amid continued interest from Ligue 1 rivals Paris Saint-Germain, reports Sky Sport .

PSG have already smashed the world transfer record this window with the arrival of Neymar, but they would have to put up almost as much money again to land the teenage sensation.

Thus far their highest offer amounted to €155m plus add-ons, not enough to tempt the reigning French champions into a sale.

CHELSEA TO LOSE £20M ON COSTA

Antonio Conte Diego Costa

Chelsea are bracing themselves to accept an offer for Diego Costa far below what they hoped to recoup for the striker, according to the Sun .

Costa has been declared surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge, and has been linked with a return to Atletico Madrid.

But the Spanish side will only pay up to £30 million, considerably lower than the £50m price tag Chelsea had placed on their 2016-17 top scorer - and such is the Blues' desperation to sell that they are likely to relent.

Undaunted, however, the Red Devils will try to convince Inter with a bid worth £39m and finally land the midfielder.
